Alison is an eDiscovery advocate and litigation partner at Troutman Sanders LLP where she founded and leads eMerge – a wholly owned subsidiary providing clients with end-to-end, integrated discovery services. eMerge’s lawyers and technologists combine legal strategy, advanced technology, and project management to manage data in legal matters. Alison is also an adjunct professor of eDiscovery and Legal Technology at Emory University School of Law, is frequent speaker and author on eDiscovery issues, and leads Troutman’s firm-wide Innovation Initiative. In 2015, Alison was the inaugural recipient of the Monica Bay STEM Leadership Award. She was recognized as ILTA’s Technology Advocacy Professional of the Year in 2012, and has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer for eDiscovery (2015 – 2018). Alison is an active member of The Sedona Working Group 1 on Electronic Document Retention and Production (WG1) where she assisted with the drafting of the Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 34(b)(2) Primer and serves as a mentor to law students through the Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity.
