Del has been an in-house government attorney in Washington State for over 20 years. Early in his career, he became a deputy prosecutor at the county level, handling state-law criminal cases. He has first-chaired over 60 jury trials, including serious violent felonies and domestic violence cases. For the past decade and a half, he has mostly handled civil cases for government clients, including employment defense, road design, First Amendment, jail conditions, and police misconduct cases. He has had interesting ESI issues come up both in discovery and the courtroom. He currently works for a large suburban city near Seattle, handling a mix of advising and litigation work. Del is a graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Chicago Law School.
