Judge Standish is a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Central District of California. Prior to her appointment, Judge Standish was a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP, focusing her practice on patent litigation and other complex business disputes. Before joining Winston & Strawn, Judge Standish served as an Assistant U. S. Attorney for the Central District of California, and as a law clerk for the late Judge William J. Rea. She began her career at Irell & Manella LLP, and practiced at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Judge Standish has been selected as one of California’s Top Intellectual Property Litigators and Top Women Litigators by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journals. She has been named an Angelino To Know In Intellectual Property Law by the L.A. Business Journal, and ranked in the IAM Patent 1000 “World’s Leading Patent Practitioners.” Judge Standish graduated from UCLA Law School, where she served as an Articles Editor of the UCLA Law Review, and was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation. Judge Standish earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
