We are pleased to announce a new opportunity to become more involved in WG1. The Steering Committee is soliciting proposals for a session at the 2020 Midyear Meeting in Phoenix, AZ on April 30 and May 1, 2020. A description of the session and the proposal details are below. Proposals should be sent to [email protected] no later than February 28, 2020. Session Description and Proposal Details: Moving the Law Forward: Privilege Logs—Part II At the 2019 WG1 Annual Meeting, representatives of different constituencies led the dialogue to identify what is and what is not working with the traditional process used for protecting privileged ESI from production. In part 2 of this 2-part series, we will explore alternatives to addressing privilege issues in discovery which are aligned with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 1's mandate to "secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination" of every case. In conjunction with this session, we are seeking written proposals from Working Group Series members. Proposals will be evaluated by a small panel of WG1 members, and the selected authors will be asked to present their ideas for addressing privilege issues and entertain questions and feedback from the panel and the attendees at the WG1 Midyear Meeting. Details: - Individuals or small teams can submit proposals.
- Proposals should be limited to 1500 words or less and address the following:
