The Sedona Conference and its Working Group 1 on Electronic Document Retention & Production (WG1) are delighted to announce the publication of the Public Comment Version of The Sedona Conference Commentary on ESI Evidence & Admissibility, Second Edition. The first edition of this Commentary was published in 2008, and this second edition addresses the significant changes to the Federal Rules of Evidence in 2017 and 2019 and how those changes and the remaining rules apply to the ever-changing landscape of technology. Editor-in-Chief Kevin Brady, Judicial Advisor Paul W. Grimm (U.S. District Judge, District of Maryland), and members of the Drafting Team will participate in a webinar on Wednesday, August 26, to discuss the updates to the Commentary and help practitioners better understand how these changes affect their practices. Please save the date for the upcoming webinar and watch your email for additional details as they become available. In addition, the Drafting Team and WG1 Steering Committee are interested in your comments before the publication is finalized later this year. This version of The Sedona Conference Commentary on ESI Evidence & Admissibility, Second Edition is open for public comment through September 20, 2020, and suggestions for improvement can be submitted by email to [email protected]. |
