The European Developments Committee is looking for additional WG6 members to join the Committee to help move European-focused projects forward within WG6. Initially, the European Developments Committee will aim to (re)establish regular discussions about issues of importance in Europe related to data, discovery, and information governance, particularly those issues reaching beyond Europe to affect cross-border data flows. To that end, our goal is for the European Developments Committee to organize several moderated virtual conversations during the year and to collaborate as appropriate with other regional committees on these conversations. The European Developments Committee may additionally assist by identifying topics for potential brainstorming group and drafting team development for the WG6 Steering Committee’s consideration and by continuing to help increase The Sedona Conference’s visibility in Europe. In order to be considered for the Committee, you must be a member of WG6. If you are interested in applying for the drafting team, but are not yet a member of WG6, please become a member by signing up for a Working Group Series (WGS) membership. Once a WGS member, one is eligible to take part in the activities of all Working Groups, including WG6. If you have any questions about how to sign up for a membership or encounter any difficulties while doing so, please contact our office at [email protected] or +1(602) 258-4910. In order to apply for the Committee, please complete the questionnaire found here. |
