Michael J. Songer
Mike is a trial lawyer and partner at Crowell & Moring, where he heads the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. His practice involves complex technology issues and patent and trade secret disputes. Notably, Mike was the lead trial counsel in the case DuPont v. Kolon, a trade secrets case involving DuPont’s Kevlar® product. DuPont was awarded the largest contested jury trade secret verdict and the largest verdict ever awarded in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has received numerous accolades and awards for his trial work, and has been designated as an IP Trailblazer by the National Law Journal, as well as a Washington, D.C.“Super Lawyer” for IP litigation. Mike has a B.S.M.E. and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and a J.D. from Duke University. He is a licensed patent attorney, and currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown. |
