Jonathan litigates for people who are burdened with the life-altering effects of defective medical drugs and devices. He is also at the forefront of litigation for young children and teens who are coping with mental health challenges allegedly linked to dangerous social media platforms. Jonathan holds several leadership roles for plaintiffs, including being lead counsel for hernia mesh litigation In re Atrium Medical Corp. C-QUR Mesh Products Liability Litigation MDL #2753 and In re Davol/C.R. Bard Hernia Mesh Multi-Case Management Coordination, as well as co-lead counsel for Bettie Ann Smith v Covidien LP, et. al. He is an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University School of Law, where he teaches on Rhode Island’s influential history in mass torts. He also co-chairs the American Association for Justice’s Hernia Mesh Litigation Group and serves on the Board of Governors for the Rhode Island Association for Justice. He previously served on the Rhode Island Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and is a former President of AG Bell Rhode Island.
