John Tredennick

John was a trial lawyer and longtime litigation partner, who in 2000 founded Catalyst Repository Systems, a leading international e-discovery software technology company. In 2019, he sold Catalyst to OpenText, a large public company. Seeking to use his accumulated skills and experience to help others, John left Catalyst after the sale creating Tredennick.Law to provide strategy and guidance to legal and business organizations. He is a longtime member of The Sedona Conference and one of the drafting team leaders for the new Sedona Guidelines on Legal Hold. He has written numerous books and countless articles on legal technology topics, including two ABA bestsellers on trial technology, a book on deposition techniques, and The Lawyer’s Guide to Spreadsheets. John’s recent books include TAR for Smart People (3rd Ed.), The Legal Hold Handbook (for Smart People) and the IT Handbook on Legal Hold and Collection (for Smart IT People).
