Jeffrey R. Chanin
Jeff’s career over three decades has spanned a full range of complex intellectual property, commercial, and white collar criminal defense matters. His forte is strategic leadership in complex, high-stakes litigation, and the preparation and presentation of technically challenging matters. He has won numerous victories for his clients in some of the nation’s most significant trade secret misappropriation cases, including Cadence Design Systems v. Avant!; SanDisk v. SK Hynix; and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. v. Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. For this last cross-border case, California Lawyer gave Jeff its Attorney of the Year award in Intellectual Property. He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, and clerked for Federal Judges Richard Posner and Patrick Higginbotham before joining the Keker firm. |
