Kim is a Special Deputy Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice. She graduated from University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill with B.S. in Business Administration. Thereafter, she graduated from Campbell University School of Law and also earned an MBA from Campbell University. Kim clerked at the NC Court of Appeals and NC Supreme Court for two years following law school. She worked in private practice for six years before joining the Consumer Protection/Antitrust Division of the NC Attorney General’s office in 2006. In 2014, Kim became a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). Her primary areas of responsibilities involve enforcing the Identity Theft Protection Act, including provisions related to document dumping and security breaches, as well as enforcing the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act in health related matters.
