Doug is a nationally recognized plaintiff-oriented eDiscovery expert with over a decade of experience advising on eDiscovery, assisting in negotiating ESI, search and TAR protocols, and providing expert testimony on complex eDiscovery issues. He has worked on many seminal ESI and TAR cases and has been at the forefront in addressing issues such as cloud collection practices, hyperlinked attachments, email threading, and the interplay of applying search terms and TAR together. Formerly a practicing lawyer, Doug subsequently spent decades designing, programming, and implementing databases and database-based applications and platforms, including case management, litigation support, and knowledge management systems, and brings those technical skills to analyzing and advising on eDiscovery issues. He is a member of the drafting team for the forthcoming Sedona Conference commentary on Communication and Collaboration Platforms.
