Austin is a partner at litigation firm Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP in Kansas City, Missouri. Over the last decade, Austin has played key roles representing consumers in many of the nation’s largest data breach class actions, including helping achieve several of the largest data breach settlements in history. Austin has also served as appellate counsel in multiple precedent-setting data breach cases addressing issues like Article III standing and injury. In 2019, Austin was selected by Law360 as a “Rising Star” in Cybersecurity and Privacy Law, recognizing attorneys “whose legal accomplishments transcend their age.” His firm was recently honored as Law360's Cybersecurity & Privacy Group of the Year. Austin is currently serving as president of the Data Breach and Privacy section of the American Association for Justice.
