Steven M. Kayman
Steven is the Founder and a Co-Head of Proskauer’s Non-Compete & Trade Secrets Practice Group. He is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, resident in New York. With nearly 40 years of experience, Steve has litigated disputes involving intellectual property, securities, bankruptcies and workouts, real estate, employment, contracts and many other commercial matters. His clients have included major banks and insurance companies, hedge and private equity firms, other financial institutions, leading consulting firms, and media and entertainment companies. Steve has practiced before federal and state courts in New York and many other jurisdictions, doing both trial and appellate work. He also has extensive experience with alternative dispute resolution, including practice before the AAA, JAMS, the SEC, the ITC, the NYSE, the NASD, mediators and “rent-a-judges.” Steve is a thought leader in his field and has written extensively about trade secrets and non-competes. Since 2016, Steve has been an Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn Law School, teaching a class on trade secrets. |
