Michael is the Chief Claims Officer of the cyber risk analytics firm Arceo AI.  He previously served as the Head of Cyber, Media, and Technology Claims for North America at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, and as a cyber claims leader at Beazley.  Michael was previously a litigator in private practice at the global law firm of Clyde & Co, representing international insurers in disputes before US federal and state courts and before a diverse array of arbitral institutions. He is admitted to the state courts of New York and Connecticut, the federal courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Michael is also a frequent writer on legal issues. His essays on law and technology have been published by The New Yorker, Bloomberg, and BuzzFeed. He has also contributed work to the legal treatises Surveillance and to Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts. He is a graduate of New York University (BA with honors), King’s College London (MA with distinction, War Studies), and Emory University School of Law.
