Defender Services Office - Training Division

Mike is an Attorney Advisor in the Defender Services Office at the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. He was the Training Director at the Federal Public Defender (FPD) for the District of Maryland from 2016-20. Prior to joining the FPD, Mike was a Team Leader and Supervising Attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders (Bronx, NY) where he practiced and supervised attorneys engaged in serious felony litigation. From 2006-08, Mike was an E. Barrett Prettyman Fellow in the Georgetown University Law Center (GULC) Criminal Justice Clinic. He holds an LL.M degree in Trial Advocacy from GULC. Mike has also taught Criminal Procedure as an adjunct law professor at the CUNY School of Law. He received his J.D. from the CUNY School of Law in 2006.
