Chris is a partner in Kirkland’s Los Angeles office, where he advises clients on electronic discovery, international data privacy, cross-border discovery issues, and information governance issues. Chris has significant experience prosecuting and defending spoliation claims and was involved in the efforts that culminated in the 2015 Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. He is a frequent writer and speaker on e-discovery and privacy matters and has authored numerous articles on those topics. Chris has represented a wide variety of clients in complex commercial litigation and has successfully resolved cases in both federal and state courts. With Chris’ leadership, Kirkland’s E-Discovery Team has expanded its focus on cross-border discovery and the need to ensure that clients comply with these ever-changing laws and regulations. Chris has been recognized in both Chambers USA and Chambers Global for his significant contributions to E-Discovery and Information Governance.
