U.S. Magistrate Judge J. Mark Coulson received his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law and entered private practice. In 2010, he was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He was appointed a United States Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in 2014. 
Judge Coulson has written and lectured extensively in the area of eDiscovery and was part of this Court’s joint committee for a proposed protocol on the discovery of electronically stored information.
