Lisa Marie Schull

The Sedona Conference

Lisa Marie is a Senior Program Attorney with The Sedona Conference.  She is supporting Working Group 13 - Artificial Intelligence and the Law.  She is also a senior editor for the numerous publications generated by the working group series.  Lisa Marie graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990 with a Materials Science and Engineering degree.  She then did a two-year stint as a patent examiner in the 1100 examining group.  Still unsure she wanted to be a lawyer, she nonetheless attended the University of California, San Francisco, and graduated in 1995.  She has worked in law firms of all sizes, from patent boutiques to large international firms.  She transitioned to in-house work, first for Applied Materials, managing their patent-related litigation and client support worldwide.  Looking for even more excitement, she transitioned to the Apple in-house team managing worldwide patent-related disputes.  In 2012, she left the practice of law, swearing to never return, and after a series of adventures, she landed at The Sedona Conference in July of 2024.
