Justin is a Senior Counsel at Capital One Financial Corporation, where he serves as strategic intellectual property counsel, with a focus on machine learning, copyright, and open source software. He also manages patent portfolios related to artificial intelligence and ecommerce. Before joining Capital One, Justin assisted clients in private practice with patent prosecution, PTAB proceedings, and IP litigation across a variety of forums. His career in intellectual property began at the USPTO as a patent examiner. Justin received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and completed undergraduate studies in electrical and computer engineering and computer science at Duke University.
