Sadaf Abdullah

Sadaf is Director of Intellectual Property Rights and Licensing at Ericsson.  In her role, Sadaf is involved in IP licensing, particularly with regard to the company’s portfolio of over 60,000 patents, and supervising the company’s IP litigation. Sadaf also advises the company on policy matters relating to IP. Prior to joining Ericsson, Sadaf was a Partner at IP litigation boutique Skiermont Derby LLP in Dallas, where she tried patent cases, handled appeals, and closed IP transactions. Before moving to Dallas, Sadaf practiced as a litigator at Wilmer Hale LLP in New York City. Sadaf earned her law degree from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate from Duke University. In addition to her law practice, Sadaf has been an adjunct law professor since 2016, teaching courses in intellectual property law. She has taught at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law as well as Collin College.
