Renato is an attorney, economist, arbitrator, and executive chairman at Opice Blum Attorneys at Law. He is a professor in several of Brazil’s best universities; member of the EuroPrivacy Board and the European Privacy Association; judge of the Inclusive Innovation Challenge of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; president of the Brazilian Data Protection Association – ABPDados; and president of São Paulo Attorneys Institute Commission on New Technologies, Neurorights, and Artificial Intelligence Studies. Renato has written and participated in more than 20 works related to law, technology, and data privacy topics such as: Electronic Law: The Internet and Courts, Electronic Law Manual, General Data Protection and Internet Law, and Data Protection Officer, among others.
