Hon. J. Stephen Schuster (ret.)

Judge Schuster serves on the Superior Courts of the State of Georgia. He sits in the Cobb Judicial Circuit in Marietta, Georgia, where he serves as Chief Judge. Judge Schuster is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, where he served on the Board of Governors for 14 years and been a member of numerous committees, including finance, disciplinary rules and bench and bar. Judge Schuster chaired a special committee tasked with writing proposed legislation for eDiscovery. The product of this committee was presented to Georgia’s General Assembly. Judge Schuster is also a member of the American College of Business Court Judges. He has served on the board and is currently president-elect of that organization. He also co-chairs the Judges Initiative of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, and previously served as a business court representative. Judge Schuster’s interest is in establishing and promoting effective business courts, tackling eDiscovery issues and moving forward with focused civil litigation. Judge Schuster graduated with a degree in economics from Tulane University, and received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
