Romain is a Legal Officer in the Policy & Consultation Unit of the European Data Protection Supervisor. Romain was formerly a legal advisor to the Belgian Data Protection Authority where he was involved in data protection law enforcement. Prior to his employment at the Belgian DPA, he was a senior associate at De Wolf & Partners and practiced intellectual property and privacy and data protection law. Romain has also practiced law at other technology-based firms such as ULYS, OLSWANG, and Bogaert & Vandemeulebroeke, and he was a researcher at the Research Center in IT and Law, University of Namur.
