Per Hellström
Per leads the European Commission’s Antitrust Unit dealing with Information Technology, Internet and Consumer Electronics. This Unit was in charge of the investigation in the landmark antitrust decision in the Microsoft case of March 2004. Per led the investigation against Intel Corporation, which was concluded by a prohibition decision in May 2009, and was also in charge of the Rambus case and the Microsoft tying case, both of which were concluded by Commitment decisions at the end of 2009. Per was previously a member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, providing legal advice in the area of mergers and antitrust, as well as representing the Commission before the Community Courts in cases such as Microsoft and GE/Honeywell. |
