David Moncure
David is an AI governance, information governance, data privacy and security, and eDiscovery counsel with experience supporting multinational Fortune 500 organizations in in-house, law firm, and now consulting settings across various industries. As a partner at Crowe, David consults with clients on best practice issues related to AI governance and information governance. He also assists with data privacy and security and eDiscovery consulting engagements. Prior to joining Crowe, David was VP / Associate General Counsel for DaVita, overseeing eDiscovery and AI / information governance globally as well as serving as the lead legal advisor for data security and protection compliance. David served as International eDiscovery and Data Privacy Counsel for Shell Oil Company, as well. He advised Shell businesses and functions on international eDiscovery issues, data breach response situations, IT security, and various other data privacy and cybersecurity related issues. He began his practice at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he assisted clients with eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy issues. David’s practice spans work throughout the US, EU, Latin America, Middle East, and APAC. He is a frequent speaker and author of numerous articles on information governance, eDiscovery and data protection and security issues, particularly on cross-border issues. David is Chair Emeritus of the Steering Committee of The Sedona Conference Working Group 11 on Data Security and Privacy Liability (WG11). |
