John is Vice President and Legal Counsel at Qualcomm Incorporated, where he has managed patent litigation and other commercial litigation matters in both U.S. and foreign courts. He was previously with the IP litigation group at Morrison & Foerster LLP in Palo Alto and San Diego. John has participated in The Sedona Conference on patent litigation matters since 2011. He is a member and former Chair of the Litigation Committees of the Intellectual Property Owners Association and is a member of several other organizations with a focus on intellectual property. John holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) where he was on the editorial board for Berkeley Technology Law Journal. John is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group 9 on Patent Damages and Remedies (WG9). and The Sedona Conference Working Group 10 on Patent Litigation Best Practices (WG10) Steering Committees.
