Erik is Senior Intellectual Property Counsel with 3M Litigation and Preventive Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he is responsible for managing the intellectual property litigation for 3M Company and its worldwide affiliates. Before that, Erik was Division Intellectual Property Counsel for 3M’s Drug Delivery Systems and Industrial Mineral Products Divisions. Prior to joining 3M, he was an attorney with Leonard, Street and Deinard (now Stinson Leonard Street) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, focusing on intellectual property and commercial litigation, and Patterson Thuente, where he handled domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution. Erik received his J.D. From William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota (magna cum laude, valedictorian) and his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
