Rubén Muñoz
Rubén is a partner at Akin Gump, where he practices IP law with an emphasis on patent and trade secret litigation. He has represented companies in cases involving a wide array of technologies, including medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and electronics. Rubén has represented clients in federal and state court and before the International Trade Commission. In addition, he has represented clients in numerous inter partes review proceedings before the PTAB, the majority of them as lead counsel. Before attending law school, Rubén spent five years at Ford Motor Company’s Scientific Research Laboratory, where he worked as an engineer on the development of advanced engine technologies. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and holds a certificate in business and public policy from the Wharton School. Rubén has a master’s in mechanical engineering and a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University. |
