Jill C. Griset is a Partner at McGuireWoods LLP in Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1997 and co-manages the firm’s Discovery Counsel Services Group. She began her practice in commercial litigation, but since about 2005, she has focused her practice exclusively on electronic discovery and specializes in financial institution litigation and government investigations. She frequently serves as separate record Discovery Counsel in large matters where other firms are handling the merits. She also serves as National Discovery Counsel for a number of large institutions, providing advice on eDiscovery processes and the management of eDiscovery company-wide. She manages a dedicated team of discovery attorneys that handle all aspects of discovery, from consulting on preservation and collection issues to developing reasonable ESI plans in large matters to managing document reviews, productions, and privilege logs.
