On January 17, 2019, The Sedona Conference held a one-day conference in Washington, D.C. to consider how well the United States patent system is working to foster invention, job creation, industrial competitiveness, wealth creation, and strategic strength in the U.S.A. The conference sold out and was a tremendous success. Many of the participants expressed a desire to continue the dialogue in the near future. Accordingly, we have scheduled a follow-on conference for June 28, 2019 at the offices of Covington & Burling, LLP in Washington, D.C. At that time we will continue the dialogue and explore (1) patent eligible subject matter; (2) availability of preliminary and permanent injunctions; (3) Standard Essential Patents and the New Madison approach to anti-trust enforcement; and (4) China's current Five year Plan and the global race to lead in 25 advanced technology areas, the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and its impact on IP in the United States and Germany.

Please mark your calendars now for this important conference. Please also look for an email announcement when we open registration.

We hope you will join us for this important conference in Washington, D.C. on June 28, 2019!
