Webinar on Navigating AI in the Judiciary: New Guidelines for Judges and Their Chambers

Date: Tuesday, March 18, 2025

Time: 1:00 p.m. EDT

Duration: 90 minutes

Five judges and a professor are clear: The use of AI must strengthen public confidence in the justice system, not compromise it.

As members of the Working Group on AI and the Courts ─ part of the ABA’s Task Force on Law and Artificial Intelligence ─ Dr. Maura R. Grossman and Judges Herbert B. Dixon, Jr.; Allison H. Goddard; Xavier Rodriguez, Scott U. Schlegel; and Samuel A. Thumma developed guidelines for responsible use of AI tools by judicial officers.

In short, the promise of GenAI to increase productivity and advance the administration of justice must be balanced against the Courts’ core principles.

The authors will present a free webinar at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 18.
